Concurrently With the launch, Deep Silver released a six-minute dev diary-style trailer, which features gameplay and interviews with key members of the development team, 5 Lives Studios, providing details on how Windbound was made. We posted it at the bottom of the news.

Windbound is a third person survival RPG adventure, where we will have to hunt, explore and create. The player takes on the role of Kara, shipwrecked on an unknown land where she must learn to adapt to survive, solving the mysteries of a series of forgotten islands.
Windbound focuses on hunting and exploration, along with construction of customized boats and an immersive tactile navigation experience. The game offers endless replayable options thanks to the procedural world, dynamic wildlife and the creation of modular boats.
The story is about the forbidden islands that are calling the protagonist. Kara, a warrior lost at sea in a violent storm, ends up adrift away from her tribe. At the mercy of the turbulent waters, she is thrown on the shores of the forbidden islands, a mysterious paradise.
