Street Fighter 6 postponed beyond 2021, problems in Capcom with Yoshinori Ono?
Street Fighter 6 seems to have been postponed beyond 2021 due to a series of problems that emerged in the development phase, which according to some corridor rumors would be attributable above all to rather dubious decisions by the producer Yoshinori Ono, which for these causes would be has been removed from the role and replaced.
All these are only rumors for the moment, coming from the usual Dusk Golem or AestheticGamer, an alleged insider who so far has distinguished himself above all with various leaks on Resident Evil Village which later proved rather reliable, but we are far from being able to consider this as verified information.
While in the last financial results of Capcom the Resident Evil series has reached 103 million, apparently Street Fighter continues to face some problems, which would also be at the base of the unexpected new Season V of Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition, which will also contain Dan, Rose, Oro and Akira.
The fact is, according to Dusk Golem, that Street Fighter 6 should have been released in 2021 but at the present state of the work it was not considered valid, thus leading to a postponement beyond next year. According to some testers, the new chapter would be too based on a new team mechanic that was strongly desired by Yoshinori Ono. Due to the problems caused in development, which would also refer to other choices that were not shared and deemed not very functional, Ono would have been removed from the position of main producer and replaced by Midori Yuasa.
All this would have led to a marked delay in the development of Street Fighter 6, partially offset by the launch of Season V of Street Fighter 5, which in fact will continue until 2021 with several additions.
(1/2)As Capcom is trending for Street Fighter stuff, though I'm not really a Street Fighter fan, I can mention I know The reason for the unexpected SF5 season pass. The most basic gist of it is SF6 was supposed to release next year, but it was not received well internally or with

For what it's worth, I've heard the extra year & new director/fixes & direction they've taken it have been doing wonders.
