PS5: Game boxes may be black

The PS5 game boxes could be black, at least according to those of the two versions of NBA 2K21, standard and Mamba Forever, for the next generation console, shown by 2K in a tweet. So far, only blue boxes have emerged, like those of PS4, accompanied by the new white graphics.

Black and white together are much better than blue and white, at least according to the humble judgment of the writer. However it may be simply a specific case, or Sony may have decided to leave the choice to the editors, although it is unlikely since usually hardware manufacturers prefer to give precise guidelines regarding these elements, which actually serve to characterize the whole machine.

The switch to black could also be a deliberate choice by Sony after the reactions to the design of the new packs in the announcement: many have criticized the choice of white over blue and have indicated black as a better alternative. Have they been satisfied? We will see with the emergence of new packages whether this is the case or not. Meanwhile, let's look at the covers of NBA 2K21 for PS5, thinking that the next-gen version of the game will cost more than the one for the current generation.
