In the tweet, the Californian company simply mentions the countdown, but in a banner appeared on the Twitter account @NvidiaGeForce it reads “21 days, 21 years”.
This would suggest that the announcement will be made on August 31st, the same day that the Nvidia GeForce 256, first GPU of the company, was presented 21 years ago, in 1999. The date also indicates that we will be able to see the new graphics cards immediately after the Gamescom this year and it is not certain that some information will leak sooner than expected. br>
Today we also re hurt that, according to several sources, the PG132 reference board should be equipped with the Nvidia GA102 GPU, the high-end Ampere processor that will be the heart of the RTX Titan, RTX 3080Ti and RTX 3080. One of these models, moreover, should be equipped with 20GB of memory, a very generous amount.
It seems that Nvidia is preparing to empty its stores to make room for the new RTX 3000 proposals. In fact, we recently reported that, according to MyDrivers.com, the company would have already stopped production of RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2070 Super.
Recently we talked about the results relating to’ reliability of the graphics card of series Nvidia the RTX 2000 and comparing that to 5000 AMD. One of the major German retailers, Mindfactory, has in fact published the data relating to the RMA, revealing that, on average, the requests for warranty of Nvidia cards were lower compared to their counterparts from AMD.
of course, for the moment we just have to wait patiently for a few more weeks to find out more.
