Innovative startups: how did it go in the lockdown?
Online the sixteenth quarterly report of the Ministry of Economic Development on innovative startups set up online, prepared in collaboration with Unioncamere and InfoCamere. The reference period is Q2, strongly characterized by the health crisis that blocked most of the country's economic activities. This is another reason why there has been a sharp increase in the adoption rate of this modality: 3,167 started up as of 30 June 2020.

L 'in the three months from April to June they chose 44.9% of the new innovative entrepreneurial realities, a percentage higher than the average of 37.7% recorded in the last year. However, territorial variability must be taken into account: in Basilicata, Sardinia and Calabria the threshold of 50% has been exceeded (in the last year), while for Valle d'Aosta, Abruzzo, Emilia-Romagna, Marche and Umbria the share is much lower.



Another interesting data that emerges from the report is that relating to the duration of the practices or the period of time that elapses between the establishment and the effective registration of the company in the section report of the business register following the verification of the requirements by the competent Chamber of Commerce. In the last few months it has decreased to an average of 28 days.

We remind you that the creation of a startup through the digital constitution method, available in Italy since July 2016, is free of charge. In concrete terms it means exemption from the notarial deed with an estimated average saving of around 2,000 euros.



In absolute terms the numbers are mainly concentrated in the Lombardy region (27,6%), Veneto (10.8%) and Lazio (10.6 percent), the three regions that together are home to almost half of the startups made online from all over the country.
