Ghost of Tsushima Legends: new online mode announced, details

Surprisingly, Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced Ghost of Tsushima Legends, a new cooperative online mode that will be available in free format for all owners of Ghost of Tsushima on PS4. Let's see all the official details.

Ghost of Tsushima Legends

Ghost of Tsushima Legends is a "completely new experience": it is a separate mode from the journey of Jin, the protagonist of the single mode player, and focuses on four warriors from the legends of Tsushima Island.

It's also not the only difference. The single player mode is based on a realistic version of japan, in an open world map. Ghost of Tsushima Legends, on the other hand, is a cooperative action title based on environments and enemies inspired by Japanese folklore and mythology. You can see a first trailer below.

You can play in groups of 2 to 4 players; each character will cover one of four classes:

Samurai Hunter Ronin Assassin Obviously each class has unique abilities and strengths, not yet announced.

The game modes The game will include a series of co-op missions with a dedicated storyline. The combat system will be based on that of the single player game, but will add "changes of a magical nature" and will require you to coordinate with your allies.

In addition, there will be survival missions that will require the presence of four players (the story can be played in two, instead). These missions will include waves of enemies, including mighty Oni. Finally, after the launch, the Raids will be added, again for four players: these are very difficult missions, of which we will find out more later.
