All the prizes for the 2020 Mtv Video Music Awards

The MTV awards ceremony took place in several outdoor New York locations to address the pandemic. Great protagonist of the evening Lady Gaga with her victories and her masks

(photo: Getty Images) In an extremely delicate moment for the world of entertainment and especially for live events, MTV has decided to organize its Video Music Awards, one of the most important events on the American and international music scene. To cope with the coronavirus emergency, the show gave up its indoor location, initially planned at the Barclays Center in New York, preferring several outdoor venues scattered around the city, including the Bronx Zoo. Leading the actress and singer Keke Palmer, who launched the videos of the various performances and the various awards, which took place in various points of New York or directly from the artists' house.

Among the performances of the evening, have seen those of The Weeknd (which opened the ceremony and then won the prestigious Video of the year), Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus (who sang the new Midnight Sky on a disco ball, self-titling her famous video Wrecking Ball), four award-winning Korean BTS and the Black Eyed Peas. The undisputed queen of the evening, however, was definitely Lady Gaga: not only did she perform with her song Rain on Me together with Ariana Grande, but she was awarded five awards including the unpublished TriCon Award which rewards the artists involved in more multimedia fronts; he also changed several outfits, each with a special and extravagant mask, to underline the importance of prevention: "Just because we are now separated and culture can seem less alive, I feel that a new renaissance is about to arrive", he declared.
