After skipping a version, Wear OS is preparing to receive Android 11 as the basis of the operating system. Big G will have to strive to create a less energy-intensive OS, not being able to rely on large batteries due to the designs to which smartwatches must submit. It goes without saying that the new features must bring a better and more stable connection via bluetooth with the smartphone, this is one of the links to be optimized as WearOS is always constantly connected. There will also be new dials richer in information and menus with new customizable fonts.
The possibility of having the on-display always more frequently used is also considered, a useful feature for wearables with Oled displays.
WearOS based on Android 11 will arrive together with the presentation of the latest Android distribution on September 8th. From then on, the OEMs will choose when to implement it and whether to update their existing products.
