War of the Worlds: Season 2 announced
After the great success of the first season, War of the Worlds, the series co-produced by FOX and Canal +, written and created by the BAFTA award winner Howard Overman (Misfits, Crazyhead, Merlin), returns with the long-awaited second season that will be broadcast on Fox (Sky, channel 112) in 2021. The series set in France and the United Kingdom has been a global success and has been sold in over 60 countries in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania.

With a choral cast, including Golden Globe winner Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment), and Daisy Edgar Jones (Normal People), War of the Worlds has hit record highs on Canal + on demand service, as original creation and was broadcast on FOX channels of over 50 countries between Europe and Africa. The first season of War of the Worlds is also among the most watched series on the Epix streaming service in the United States.

As in the first season Gilles Coulier (De Dag, Cargo, The Natives) will be the director of the first four episodes while Richard Clark (Innocent, Versailles) was confirmed as director for the episodes from fifth to eighth. Next to Gabriel Byrne and Daisy Edgar Jones, the second season cast is composed of Léa Drucker, Natasha Little, Stéphane Caillard, Adel Bencherif, Ty Tennant, Stephen Campbell Moore, Bayo Gbadamosi, Aaron Heffernan and Emilie de Preissac.
In the first season of War of the Worlds, an alien attack almost wiped out humanity and a small group of humans are struggling to survive. Emily (Daisy Edgar Jones) has discovered that she has a special connection with aliens.
In the second season, we discover that the invaders could be human. A war tense for resume the planet awaits our characters that, in desperation and in an attempt to survive, will contemplate the possibility of sacrificing one of them. The drama series is produced by Howard Overman, Julian Murphy and Johnny Capps for Urban Myth Films.
