The Last of Us: the HBO series will expand and improve the story with the help of Druckmann

In a recent interview Craig Mazin, The Last of Us HBO series showrunner, wanted to reassure fans. The man who helped create the Chernobyl TV series said that its purpose is not to twist the license, but to improve and expand the story that is already known thanks to "one of the best games I've ever played". This is why he is working with Naughty Dog vice-president Neil Druckmann to be faithful to the original game.

"I think fans are concerned that when an IP is licensed to someone other, these people don't really understand it or want to upset it. I'm working with the guy who created it [Neil Druckmann, in other words], so the changes we make are meant to fill in the gaps and expand the original story Not to cancel it, but rather to improve it, "said Craig Mazin.

At the moment, however, there is no other indication on this series, when its production will begin and especially when the first episode will be broadcast. What we do know is that the team at work seems to be of the highest level and HBO is a brand that should be a further guarantee of the quality of the final product.

Now that the game has finally come out, moreover, Druckmann and associates they will be able to spend more time on this project while enjoying record sales and positive feedback.
