Surface Book 3 audio jack issues

Surface Book 3 audio jack issues
Presented in early May and available for purchase also in Italy from the first week of June (starting from 1,849 euros), Microsoft's new Surface Book 3 is offered in 13.5 and 15-inch screen variants, with different hardware configurations so as to go to meet every need. A few weeks after the official debut, however, several users complain about a problem related to the functioning of the audio jack.

Surface Book 3: problems with the audio jack

A sort of buzzing generated when headphones, earphones or external speakers connect to the device, regardless of volume. It occurs when you start playing a content, for example a piece of music, to disappear completely automatically and somewhat inexplicably after about a minute. If you pause and resume listening, here it is again. This is a testimony.

I bought four 13.5-inch Surface Book 3 with Core i7, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD. Except for the first one who has a slight screen problem, all the other three have the same buzzing problem as the headphone jack. I'm sure it's something related to hardware or production. It's really disappointing if you think about the relationship between price and quality.

Here is another of the complaints shared by a buyer of the Surface device on Microsoft's official customer support forum.

How already reported, I had exactly the same problem. After contacting Microsoft support, I replaced my Surface Book 3 with a new one. Unfortunately, the new device was suffering from the same problem.

There are also those who tells of having heard disturbances during the playback of the audio contents from integrated speakers with technology Dolby Atmos enabled. At the moment it is given to know what is the cause of the snag. The group of Redmond has not intervened in the official way to make this clear.
