NBA 2K21: on PS5 and Xbox Series X it will cost more and no smart delivery
We have just discovered the release date and the Mamba Edition of NBA 2K21. Along with this information, some other information also arrived. For example it seems that NBA 2K21 on PS5 and Xbox Series X will cost around 5 euros more than the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Furthermore, the latter will not be compatible with the smart delivery program: in other words, you will have to buy the game a second time if you want to try it on the next-gen consoles. Unless you get your hands on the Mamba Forever Edition.
Together with the launch date and information on the NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition, 2K Games has released a scheme that explains the price and composition of the various editions of the game.
From this scheme you can see that the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia and Switch versions will be released on September 4, 2020 at 59.99 euros for the Nintendo version and 69.99 dollars for the PS4 version and Xbox One. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, on the other hand, will cost € 5 more, or € 74.99.
From this information we obtain two more: the Stadia and PC versions will be based on the current version of the game, not on the next-gen version of PS5 and Xbox Series X and the base game will not be able to count on smart delivery, that is, the program that updates a game for free to its next-gen version.
2K, in fact, claims that they are different versions, not only in graphics (more faithful and able to load games in two seconds) but also in gameplay and game modes, which will be expanded.
The only way to obtain both editions it will be to buy the Mamba Forever Edition for 99 euros, the only one able to guarantee a fluid generational change.
