Mozilla suspends Firefox Send, security reasons
Mozilla has temporarily stopped in the pits the Firefox Send service, originally launched in 2017 and - in truth - never emerged as a particularly prestigious asset in the bed of browser services. Send has now been noted for reasons related to the wide margins of improvement in terms of security that have arisen, which requires a pause for reflection before being able to restore full functionality.
Mozilla has put up all this is not without a certain naivety of the fund: it was ascertained the possibility of being able to control any abuse of the system. So, in reality, it was: according to what emerged, would have been many abuses by criminals who have used the Send to upload malware and send then the link through the e-mail messages specially developed (addresses, however, linked to a brand known as Firefox and, therefore, relatively reliable in the eyes of the end user). The recipient will receive, in fact, a mail, which simulates the sending of documents to download, and when you meet the contexts of lack of caution or poor safety culture, you have a good chance of getting to sign his own attack. Spyware, ransomware, trojan and so on: the list of abuses is sufficiently large and varied.
Mozilla has suspended the Send and waiting to develop some measure of additional safety: the reaction seems to have been vehement, witnessing so much attention to safety as the full will keep in the feet Send with greater efficacy and safety for all stakeholders. In particular, it will be prompted for a login to be able to control the activities of the users, buttons to report abuse and other further measures. No indication on timing, but the yard is open: Send will return better than before, but now is the time to have a break.

Send, weapon malware
Send is a service designed to create a repository of files (even large ones) to be able to upload any archive, keep it encrypted on Mozilla servers, obtain a sharing code and then be able to disclose the link itself so that others can download everything. A real sharing service, which Mozilla promised as focusing on the security of the tool. Initially there were only a few limits in terms of weight (1GB) and time (24 hours), later overcome by new developments that offered even greater freedom.Mozilla has put up all this is not without a certain naivety of the fund: it was ascertained the possibility of being able to control any abuse of the system.
