Monster Hunter, Sony may have postponed the film to 2021
Sony may have postponed the Monster Hunter movie to 2021, according to some sources collected from the Deadline site. According to what has been learned, the film's release would have been postponed from September 4, 2020 to April 23, 2021.
Unfortunately, no reasons were given for this decision, although it is not difficult to imagine that it depends on the slowdown in works caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. After all, the whole world of entertainment has been severely affected by the various confinements, so Sony's decision is not surprising.
There are many films due out in 2020 that have been postponed due to COVID-19. These include Fast and Furious 9, No Time to Die and Black Widow, to name a few.
Too bad, because just this week the fans of the film and the videogame series had been able to see Milla Jovoich, the leading actress, holding the double blades, apparently her favorite weapon also in the game.
