Far Cry 6, Ubisoft: it will be 4K only on Xbox, no PS5
Announced during the Ubisoft Forward event, Far Cry 6 immediately hit the fans with a cinematic trailer in which the new villain Anton Catillo, starring the American actor Giancarlo Esposito, was presented. With a new post published on Twitter, Ubisoft recently confirmed some technical characteristics regarding the resolution that will reach the title on the consoles on which it will come out.
As was pointed out by the official Ubisoft Support account, Far Cry 6 will only reach 4K resolution on the Xbox Series X and Xbox One X consoles, but not on the next generation Sony PLayStation 5 console. This decision came from the thoughts of the players after Ubisoft chose to optimize their versions of the titles on the console next gen Microsoft.

From what you can read on Twitter posts, it seems that the choice is It was taken purely for a commercial reason and it is not a matter of scarce technical needs regarding PlayStation 5, also because this choice sounds as if the French company wants to give an exclusive feature to one of the console versions of Far Cry 6. From what we know, PS5 will have 10 Tera Flops compared to the 12 of Xbox Series X.
