Experience the origins of the saga with Ys Origin for the Nintendo Switch
DotEmu announced today that it plans to bring Ys Origin to the Nintendo Switch later this year. The action RPG from 2006 tells the origins of the celebrated Ys saga by Nihon Falcom and is considered the prequel of all other serial offshoots. The game has already been ported to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Xbox One and will soon be available for the Nintendo Switch.
In North America, Limited Run Games will be releasing the physical version and offers them in two editions. In addition to the normal edition, fans can choose a limited edition, which offers a game, a poster, an art book, a steel book and the official soundtrack in a special collector's box.
In Europe, another trading partner is also offering a standard and a limited edition, although DotEmu has not yet announced which European partner it is and to what extent the content will differ. More details will be revealed in the coming months, which suggests that the release of Ys Origin will be a bit of a delay.
As with the release for Xbox One the game is also available on Nintendo Switch with German, English, French, Spanish, Italian and Japanese texts.
