Another important name joins the ranks of Google Cloud customers: it is that of TikTok. The parent company ByteDance that controls the social platform last month signed an agreement with the Mountain View group, detaching a check worth more than $ 800 million for a three-year supply of services. This is reported by sources that remained anonymous to the editorial staff of The Information site.

Some large overseas companies have also decided to ban its installation for employees, fearing it could act as an espionage tool.

The rumor about the partnership with Google transpires during the days of the Next'20 event, this year for obvious reasons staged exclusively in its digital form.
