AMD, new support from China solves an annoying AM4 socket problem
As published on the Chiphell forums by kthlon, a new mounting mechanism for AM4 socket-based processors, including AMD's famous Ryzen series, has appeared on the market and allows to avoid the long-standing problem that causes the processor to remain "stuck" to the heatsink being removed.

Credit: ChipHell While the AM4 socket is perhaps the longest running ever in the history of x86 processors, supporting countless CPUs, it has an annoying tendency: when removing the heatsink, the chip it can get stuck on the cooling plate due to a suction-like effect created by the thermal interface material (TIM). This involves extracting the processor from the PGA socket (pin grid array) even if the locking lever remains firmly locked in the "closed" position.

This problem in itself is not exactly dangerous but, in the case not if we noticed it and then placed the heat sink directly on the work surface, we would risk bending the CPU pins. In addition, it takes a little patience to slide the processor along the cooling plate without damaging the device. For this purpose, the new ProArtist IFE2 bracket has been created, designed to completely eliminate the possibility of such a thing happening.

Credit: ChipHell, The mechanism is sold as a kit stand-alone in China, but at the moment it is impossible to find in the west. According to a message posted by momomo_us , in the far east are available kits that are compatible with Noctua and Thermaltake. In theory, you could use the bracket with the other heatsink, but the compatibility may be uncertain because of the different heights, so you will need to make sure that the heat sink maintains a high pressure on the processor after the mounting of the device. However, the bracket is also sold in combination with some heat sinks, such as the Pro Artists's Desserts 3, it too is nowhere to be found in our latitudes.

Usually, the removal of a processor is not a frequent task for the common user, and then it is a problem that affects only a small slice of users. Also, it is pretty easy to remedy the situation by turning the sink while you remove it or, in any case, lift it up when the processor is still warm.

you Are looking for a processor that can give you great satisfaction, both in the field of gaming production? We recommend the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, that you can buy on Amazon for a special price!
