All the new emojis coming to iPhone

From the dodo to the matryoshka, to the highly anticipated Italian gesture most famous in the world

(Photo: Apple) The new emojis that Apple will bring aboard iPhones as well as on iPad and on are finally arriving in the coming weeks Mac. The thirteen new features are among those that were approved last January by the Unicode Consortium which is the international body behind these small and constantly updated images.

The thirteen emojis only a small part of those shown at beginning of the year by the Consortium and that we had told you about, ranging from animals to national dishes up to a complete choice of gender and skin tone. Compared to the original ones, the style, colors and details have been slightly retouched by Apple which has made them more compliant with those already available to users.

What are the new emojis? The first two are anatomically based on the heart and lungs, then we find two animals such as the beaver and the extinct dodo, there is a ninja and two national symbols such as the Russian matryoshka and the Australian boomerang. Finally, the piñata, the bubble tea, the Tamal roulade and the coin.

An eagerly awaited emoji that pays homage to Italy and its most famous gestures in the world closes the picture. Called "Pinched fingers" it represents the classic way of expressing "what do you want?" , which for sure will soon become very popular on our territory and that lately is experiencing great popularity all over the world thanks to countless memes.

It is not yet clear when the other official emojis will arrive at the beginning of the year, as above all the human figures in tuxedos and the other highly anticipated smiley face with the tear falling. Meanwhile, the new emojis are already being tested on devices capable of accepting the beta version of Android 11.

For all the others will wait for the official update that will arrive on iOs (and iPadOs and MacOs) as well as on Android in the coming months 2020.
