Abrakam formalizes Roguebook at Nacon
During Nacon Connect, we heard about a game that had been kickstarted in 2019. The latter is called Roguebook, and will be published by Nacon.
Roguebook will take the form of a deck building game oriented roguelike, located in the world of Faëria, another title from Abrakam studio. During the broadcast, Jean-Michel Vilain, creative director and CEO of the studio, came to present the title in more detail. Players can start the game by choosing two of the four characters available, taken from Faeria: Sharra, Sorocco, Seifer and Aurora. Like a Slay the Spire, each successful fight will add cards to its deck, in order to discover new synergies and new powers.
To progress, players will run through a large card, the overworld, born from the roguebook. It will be possible to discover new artifacts, treasures, and of course, confront enemies. Once the game is finished for the first time, more content will be unlocked, and the difficulty will increase. Seduced by the proposal, the creator of Magic: The Gathering, Richard Garfield joined the project and worked alongside the developers.
