Xbox Series X: 'Xboxing Day' postponed to August? Aaron Greenberg's denial

Renowned journalist Jeff Grubb has returned to Twitter to update his personal calendar of upcoming videogame events, drastically modified after the murder of George Floyd, placing particular emphasis on the new Xbox Series X and its games.

How you can see from the post published by Jeff Grubb, the calendar starts with the Steam Game Festival which is scheduled to start on June 16, and then cascades a series of important events including the EA Play on June 18, the Cyberpunk 2077's Night City Wire on June 25th and the Ubisoft event scheduled for July 12th.

The most radical change however concerns the series of events related to the next Microsoft home console, Xbox Series X. mysterious "Xboxing Day", already recalled in the past by the journalist, was in fact moved in August, alongside, among other things, a new State of Play of the rival Sony. In the first version of the calendar, this event was scheduled for June but recent events related to demonstrations around the world have probably pushed the Redmond company to review the plans. Instead, the presentation of the first-party titles for the Xbox Series X remains confirmed for July.

Meanwhile, William Stillwell of Microsoft spoke about the role of the developers in the use of new technologies related to the next-gen consoles. For its part, Sony has confirmed the presentation event of the games for the PlayStation 5.

Update - Aaron Greenberg has denied any postponement, confirming that the plans remain unchanged and as scheduled the next show will be held regularly in July, a precise date has not yet been announced.
