Where we were staying In 2013 a deadly pandemic decimates the world population. Due to the effects of a mutation in the Cordyceps, a parasitic fungus that was previously harmful to ants only, millions of humans become murderous creatures without reason. In fact, once a living organism is infected, the fungus attacks the brain and in a couple of days makes it lose all brain function. Week after week, the guest slowly undergoes physical mutations that transform him into increasingly horrendous creatures. Within a few days the infection spreads all over the world and it is chaos.
