The Last of Us Part 2 towards the biggest launch ever for PlayStation
Naughty Dog's new work has all the credentials to be the protagonist of an epochal launch. According to well-known independent analyst Benji-Sales, current evidence suggests that The Last of Us Part 2 could record the largest launch in the history of PlayStation. As stated by President and CEO Jim Ryan, the number of pre-orders in Europe has already exceeded that recorded in 2018 by Marvel's Spider-Man. Today we discover that The Last of Us Part 2 has also exceeded the number of God of War reservations in Brazil, thus becoming the exclusive PlayStation with the largest number of pre-orders ever in the Carioca country.
The numbers, already incredibly promising, could increase further after the publication of the reviews of The Last of Us Part 2, scheduled at 9:01 on Friday 12 June. According to Benji-Sales, a possible Meta Score above 90, or even greater than 95, could result in a further surge in pre-orders. Currently, the record for the best ever launch for a PlayStation exclusive belongs to Marvel's Spider-Man, who was able to place 3.3 million copies in just three days.
2017 - Horizon Zero Dawn: 2.6 million in less than two weeks, 10+ million in total; 2018 - God of War: 3.1 million in 3 days, 10+ million in total; 2018 - Spider-Man: 3,3 million in 3 days, 13+ million in total. The Last of Us Part 2 will break this record? We'll find out after the launch date set for 19 June, but for the moment, seems to have all the cards in rule to do it. In the meantime, we suggest you to read our special on the gameplay of The Last of Us Part 2 , and tune in at 17:00 on Monday, 8 June on the channel Twitch di Everyeye to talk about The Last of Us in the company of the Fru of The Jackal .
