PS5: Let's Go Digital analyzes the cooling system of the V-dev kit
The first photos of the PS5 dev kit were released last summer by Let's GO Digital, initially they caused quite a stir and believed to be false, however many developers have confirmed that the portrait is actually the design of a development kit of the Sony's new console.
Although the design of the kit is in no way related to that of PS5 (that is, the console will not have this shape) according to Let's Go Digital there may be similarities between the two hardware as regards the cooling system. The dev kit is designed to ensure considerable ventilation with the central groove that takes care of "sucking in" the air which is then thrown out by the vents on the side, the particular design serves precisely to guarantee a flow of air parallel to all the internal components of the dev kit, to make sure that the cooling involves both sides in the exact same way.
As said PlayStation 5 will not have this design but it is possible that the work done on the cooling of the dev kit could partly also find space in the new console. It is early to say and it is only a hypothesis, according to the latest rumors from Russia, the design of PS5 will be similar to that of PS4 PRO, however presenting a thickness almost double compared to the current generation platform.
