PS4 for 95 euros in France: the offer attracts hundreds of people, the police intervene

Avoiding gatherings is one of the rules that are repeated more frequently in these months of pandemic, yet there are those who have completely ignored this warning by deciding to queue in front of a new LIDL store open in France. The reason? PlayStation 4 at a bargain price!

The LIDL chain offered PlayStation 4 at the price of 95 euros only for the opening day of the new store and obviously while supplies last, a very low cost for a console that it rarely drops below 199 euros and has never been offered for less than 100 euros.

The chaos triggered by this promotional initiative has forced the local police to intervene, attracted not only by the disturbing noises but also by the numerous reports received by injured people. The authorities also intervened using tear gas to clear the crowd and invited people to keep calm by neatly queuing and avoiding any kind of gathering in front of and inside the shop.

The situation seems to have returned to normal very quickly after the intervention of the police, necessary to restore calm and ensure that there are no further scuffles outside the store.
