PlayStation Plus: announcement of free PS4 games this week?

We are approaching the end of the month and as always the hype for the reveal of the free PlayStation Plus games of the month of July is rising. But when is the official announcement from Sony expected? Let's clarify.

The announcement of the free PS Plus games in June arrived earlier than a few days and many are hoping that the same may happen this month too, in reality, however, there seems to be no signs of any kind in this regard. There are those who hope for an official announcement scheduled for Wednesday 24 June but in reality the odds are few and more realistically the PS Plus games will be revealed on Tuesday 30 June or Wednesday 1 July with download available from 7 July.

Many speculations on free PS Plus games in July, including Uncharted The Lost Legacy, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, Watch Dogs 2 and Grand Theft Auto V. It is not excluded that leaks and further rumors may emerge in the coming days.

It also remains to be understood how Sony will manage the PS Plus service with the arrival of PlayStation 5 this fall: will subscribers continue to receive two free games per month or will there be changes? We'll find out presumably during the summer or just before the launch of the console.
