Matrix 4: that's why Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss re-accepted the role

Recently the latter wanted to share the whole they surprised them when they learned that the Matrix saga was returning to the cinema and wanted to explain what prompted them to return to the cast. During an exclusive interview for the latest issue of Empire on sale from Thursday 11 June and entitled The Heroes Issue, Carrie-Anne Moss said:
"I never thought it could happen. It was never one of my projects. "
The actress, who will resume the role of Trinity in Matrix 4, said that her interest increased when she read the script written by Wachowski together with the author by Cloud Atlas David Mitchell and Aleksandar Hemon:
“When the script was presented to me and above all in the way it was presented to me, with incredible depth and all the integrity and art that could be imagine, I was like: 'This is a gift'. It was simply very exciting. ”
Reeves, who will return to the role of the protagonist of the original trilogy Neo, also praised the story and the script, adding that it is very current despite being linked to the saga of twenty ' Years ago:
“Lana Wachowski wrote a wonderful script and a wonderful story that resonated inside of me. This is the only reason to do it. Working with her is simply fantastic. It was very special, and history has, I think, some significant things to say and from which we can draw nourishment in the present”.
Remember that Matrix 4 sees in the cast also Yahyah Adbul-Mateen II, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Jada Pinkett Smith and Priyanaka Chopra and the release is expected in u.s. theaters on 21 may 2021 .
