Interland teaches children safety by playing


Interland is making its debut as part of the Vivi Internet program, at its best fielded by Google with the aim of teaching children how to relate safely and responsibly with the online world. It is a real game through which to learn basic concepts for a web activity protected from risks and pitfalls: to immerse yourself in the experience just a click.

Experience the Internet, at its best: the game Google Interland It will be possible to visit four virtual, colorful and lively places: River of Reality, Monte Responsabile, Torre del Tesoro and Regno Cortese. There it will be possible to acquire notions related to the activity of crackers to the dangers that are hidden behind phishing campaigns, to the delicate theme of cyberbullying and more generally to the interactions that leverage the tools of the large network. With this method, children can exercise skills needed to become good digital citizens.

On the occasion, Google, in collaboration with Fondazione Mondo Digitale (new partner of Vivi Internet, at its best), announces the possibility of participating in the next weekend in free online workshops from duration of 40 minutes. They will be staged on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June. To register, simply visit the initiative page.

Online also a section dedicated to teachers with content, tools and methods necessary to teach the basic concepts of security and digital citizenship in the classroom.
