Food delivery: Just Eat Takeway and Grubhub together?

Rumors persist about a possible agreement between Just Eat Takeway (a company born from the merger of last year) and Grubhub, another reality active in the field of food delivery. Terms and modalities are still to be defined and even on the pages of the press that reports the indiscretion you can read conflicting forecasts.

Just Eat Takeway and Grubhub, one thing? Among others, the Wall Street Journal writes today, citing sources believed to be aware of the facts, but remained anonymous. In case of a positive outcome of the discussion between the parties, the formalization of the handshake could arrive already within the next few hours. There is talk of negotiations for an all-stock deal type offer that would further extend the range of action of the Dutch group, already capable in the first months of the year to mark a + 50% in the volume of orders thanks to a splashed request skyrocketing to coincide with the onset of the global health crisis.

Last month Grubhub also attracted Uber's attention, with the latter that as part of its internal reorganization plan assessed the acquisition hypothesis. The negotiations apparently were unsuccessful, according to some for reasons related to taking risks related to antitrust issues.
