Destiny 2: Beyond the Light, trailers and official details of the new expansion
Today Bungie announced the next chapter of the Destiny 2 universe with the worldwide presentation of the new Destiny 2: Beyond the Light expansion, arriving on September 22, 2020. In addition to the first details regarding the new expansion, Bungie has also unveiled the next season of Destiny 2: the Arrival Season, due out today.
Bungie conceived the Season of Arrivals and the expansion Beyond the Light keeping in mind its unique world in continuous evolution and continuing that exciting story that sees the guardians in constant struggle for the salvation of humanity. Players will witness the revelation of some mysteries, discover new powers and face the real threat of pyramid ships. And it all starts today with the Season of Arrivals.
For months, the mysterious and threatening pyramidal ships have appeared in our solar system with an unclear objective. In the Arrivals Season, Io's satellite will see its first pyramid ship arrive. This will trigger a series of events over the course of the season that will lead to expansion. Beyond the Light and more.
Bungie also announced today that Destiny 2 will be released on the new generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. Furthermore, the purchase of Destiny 2: Beyond the Light on Xbox One will be freely transferable to Xbox Series X via the Smart Delivery feature. Purchases made on PlayStation 4 can be updated on PlayStation 5 for free. Further details on Destiny 2 for next generation consoles will be announced in the coming months.
