Consoles that seem carved in wood? Company sells kits for 'natural' mods
The RCG website was launched in 2012 by two artists with a passion for video games and, above all, for retrogaming. The latest vintage sauce collection from the US company based in Cleveland (Ohio) therefore looks to the past to allow users to change the appearance of their favorite console with the application of these personalizations.
Each customization kit includes several wooden strips to be placed on each side of the chosen platform. The very thin wooden veneers do not change the form factor of the console and, according to their creators, it does not affect their heat dissipation capacity. The explanatory images that can be consulted on the official Rose Colored Gaming website show each platform with the relative kits applied, thus giving us the opportunity to appreciate its quality and to preview the effect promised by the customizations.
The promotional shot that RCG has published on the main content sharing platforms on the net to show the "natural" versions of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that seem carved in wood is depopulating on social media and obtained, in just 15 hours, about 70,000 "likes" from the community of Reddit.
