CES does not change plans: all confirmed for January 2021
CES, the annual trade show held in Las Vegas, had already held when the Covid-19 nightmare came, but given the current situation one could not help wondering what would change during the 2021 edition. Well, just this week the organizers of the CES announced that the fair will held regularly in January 2021, preferring to adopt more effective safety measures at a health level than postponing (or even canceling) the fair.
It is important to specify, however, that the situation may change based on the evolution of the pandemic, although for the moment the plan is to keep the fair in person, like every year.
Clearly the fair will be more digitized than ever, with more streaming than other years and "Backup plans" for companies that eventually choose to be cautious and protect their employees, as we saw in the case of the MWC.
Finally, here are some lines from the press release of the organizers: “While we are working on a new physical event in Las Vegas, we are making due considerations in relation to the protection of those who waits for you at the fair. As well as your companies innovate constantly in order to overcome the challenges presented by the pandemic, we are adapting and evolving to overcome the situation. We want to ensure that the CES will continue to give you the opportunity to create all the connections you need to grow your business”.
And you, what do you think? According to you, the decision to hold the fair regularly despite the global situation was right or it was a bold move?
